Cape Barren goose

The Cape Barren goose is a large, pale grey waterfowl native to southern Australia and Tasmania. Recognized by its yellow-green beak and black-spotted plumage, it feeds on salt-tolerant grasses in coastal grasslands. Monogamous and protective, these geese form strong pair bonds and are adept fliers despite their bulky appearance.
